There are stunning views of the Black Mountains and various valleys around the Monmouthshire area, all over this course and it even has it's own family of swans residing in the large pond located on the 18th.
It has a good driving range with cheap bucket of balls (34 for £1) and many bays.
The rest of the facilities need some work, the clubhouse is small and a little dingy but don't let that put you off as the course is very good for the price you will pay. 18 holes cost £18, 9 holes cost £12.

Playing at Wernddu Golf Club, I'm always surprised with how the course has matured over the last 15 years. With stunning views from the course of the surrounding mountains and valleys what a tremendous round of golf you can have here. The course starts with a par 3, which is an easy hole to start you off, then look out. Crossing over the road to a well thought out and designed 9 holes and crossing back over the road to finish the other 8 holes which make up a very varied 18 hole golf course.
The welcome inside the club house is one of an old friend coming to visit and the offer of food and drink are always welcome after a good round on a Sunday. I would highly recommend this course to any level of golfer who wants to play at their best and reap the rewards.

BAD DON'T GO
A dismal experience! The food here is absolutely terrible, leaving a bitter taste in your mouth. Lackluster options and poorly prepared dishes make dining an unpalatable affair. As for the golfing experience, it's dreadfully boring. The course lacks excitement, with monotonous layouts and uninspiring challenges. Save your time and money, as this place offers nothing but disappointment."Reviewer Rating
