Challenging for all golfers
A really enjoyable days golf at a nice courseVery well set up with lots of hazards including water around the greens and plenty of bunkers and lots of woodland
A very challenging set upci fully enjoyed

Challenging in places
A nice course and great value for money. Some challenging holes and is a course to make you think rather than pull driver on every par 4 and 5. Greens were in great condition, played true and at a good speed. Hospitality before and after the round fantastic as well with fairly priced food and drink. Played this course a few times now and condition of course seems to be getting worse,

The course was in great condition, good pace in the greens too. Did notice that the score card on here is different as the club have changed a few holes so the stroke index has changed.

this course is a good test for all levels of golfer. some holes seem to play longer than the yardage so a par is a good score. relaxed atmosphere in the bar where staff and members seem friendly and helpful.

Played 26/06/13. first ever game here, I thought the course was very nice, we paid £12 as it was twilight golf. The course had plenty of trees and features plus the club are working at adding extra features which is always good. The greens were very receptive which is also nice. Also they have an excellent membership offer available. Very pleased :-)

I played this on a Thursday morning. Arrived at 8am to find the club deserted apart from the old guy running the club shop.
The couse is a little up and down and rather featureless. Greens are ok, not great and not particularly well defined. Course is generally in good condition. Bunkers had small stones in them - not very pure sand. Fortunately I didn't have to play out of one. If you had some new clubs they would have been well scratched!!
The course is great for begginers but the more serious golfer might be a bit dissapointed. At £15 though very reasonable.
Wouldn't play again out of choice.

I have played The Wergs many times over the years and can only compliment the condition this year. Over the years there has been a number or changes, improvements and these will continue. It can play long in the winter but when I played the conditions were excellent. There are a number of water hazardous which make you think about your tee shots and 2nd shots.

Challenging course that is maturing nicely
Very nice course tree lined to make it more visually intimidating keeping you honest off the tee. Played it in driving rain where parts of the course were very wet but all the greens held up amazingly well, ran true and quicker than expected. Real gem of a find 20 mins away from me that I will visit a lot more. Visit in the club shop was very welcoming and all the members around were very nice and made you feel welcome. Would highly recommend and this is now firmly being added to my rotationReviewer Rating

Great golf course, a well kept tree lined course it is fairly new just over 30 year's so it is fairly forgiving, well stocked shop, good value game.
