Lovely course to play
Nice welcome and great deal on a Wednesday that included a breakfast roll and hot drink. Nice course that made you think about your next shop and in a very good condition. Great signage and tee box very close to the previous green. Finished off with a nice drink in the bar with friendly staff.Reviewer Rating

Could do better

Nice course - but!
Course in good condition apart from the bunkers. Many were GUR and those that were not should have been. Shame as the Course is a good challenge and this is the only aspect letting it down.Reviewer Rating

Very cheap but...
... some greens are terrible (particularly the first); bunkers dont have any sand in: they are concrete or weeds growing in.It's ok if need a bit of hitting practice

Good Variety Course
I like the course, good bit of variation in hole styles, shapes, including some bunker traps and water traps to catch you, alongside some short par 4s to temp you - so you have to think. On the day there had been a few days of rain prior, and it was raining the morning up to tee time, and to be fair, it shouldn't have been open, because it was too waterlogged; we hired a buggy to help, but had to keep to the path but the path was mobbed with potholes galore so it was an awful go round on a buggy; and if you're ball is not near the path, you're carrying 2 clubs to your ball before you know what to expect, so I never felt in the right frame of mind pre-shot, so I didn't enjoy the day. But I've had several rounds here before and always enjoyed it.Reviewer Rating

Nice layout, poor greens
We played as a 4 ball - twilight round for ?20 each. Good value. We were off mat's as too wet. Not great. Fairways were playable, but the greens were slow and bumpy. Guess this time of year there are not many dry Essex courses. Will play a lot better in May- OctReviewer Rating

Hilly and quite challenging
Very much enjoyed our round at Brentwood. Rather hilly and tight in some places but lots of features to make it a very good, interesting course. Bunkers could use a bit of work although not unusual for this time of year but tees on winter mats need re-doing immediately.Reviewer Rating
