Good course however the crossovers were a bit worrying at times. Could do with a driving range distance practice area also.

Improving after being taken over two years ago. The bunkers all now have fresh sand and the greens are now quick but true.

Tricky hilly course, decent venue
incredibly hilly course, ball is often way below/above feet, very often you have a tree/trees in contention - to play around, over, under - a little too often you can't play any kind of normal approach shot as a result - I'm not a fan of that (as an amateur it's difficult enough). Lovely course
Overall, it's a good course and worth the mid week green fee. Unsure if it is worth the weekend fees if the course is busier. This is because there will be a number of delays due to crossover holes.That said, the greens were in good condition. Some objects left by the wildlife may need to be moved but no issue.
Fairways were okay, some parts were a bit long, but it really pays to be safe on this course as there are a number of cuts of rough. This and the mature trees make this a challenging course.
I've seen some negatives about the hills, I think they are used well, and adds character and some length to reasonably short holes.
I am not the biggest hitter, but found the holes on the short side.

Requires some TLC
Very picturesque and peaceful course.Many tough holes due mainly to the trees, made even tougher these days by some of the course being in poor condition. They appear to be spending a lot of money on the Wedding / functions facilities but not the golf course.
Worth playing, but could not play regularly until condition of course is addressed.

Warren Golf Club
I was a member here for 18 months on a very good introduction deal.The staff are friendly and the facilitys are good, and in the time I was there the club did do things to make improvements.
The course is certainly not easy, what I didn't like about the course is there are a number of blind holes, as much as I don't like trees being cut down there are a number of holes where the position of trees block out the greens which makes the holes unfair but it is worth playing.

Quirky little course with well looked after fairways.Greens are pretty fast and took a while to get the right speed.
Excellent amount of sand in the bunkers.
Really great course if you like a lengthy warm up too with superb short game facilities.

Really enjoyed my round of golf at The Warren. Very nice course in a good condition. Excellent practice facilities, driving range (off the grass, no woods, irons only), and a short game area with plenty of bunkers. Putting green near the clubhouse. Course is hilly and there are some tight tee shots. Plenty of trees, but at least the grass is cut so you can find your ball. Well worth playing and I would play this course again.

Great greens but very tough, I was disappointed in the price not worth that amount,I didn't enjoy it too much but to be fair it was prob because I played so Badly!!!! There are better around for far cheaper.too many cross over tees for me.

A very mature course. BUT only play the course with someone who has played it. Very little marking for the next tee which is another reason why course management is essential. Tee to green can be very misleading. Many holes on the course bisect other holes with no warning.... Watch out in and around these bisect areas as you may stray onto another hole...
I did not like it as our fourball had never played at the warren before. It affected my concentration and others... lots of swearing!!!!

Sell out
Always renowned as a shocking layout the only saving grace this course ever had was the good condition it was kept in. Having visited today for the first time in around 20 years I couldnt believe how low it has sunk. From the massively uneven tee boxes with massive bare patches to greens slower than most public courses in january I actually cannot think of any redeeming features. If you want to be known as a wedding venue that's fine but please dont advertise that you have a golf course.Reviewer Rating

Tee boxes need urgent attention
We thought the course was in need of some serious maintenance. The green and tee boxes in particular were poor. An attempt is being made to improve the greens.We play at a variety of courses and I'm afraid The Warren was poor.

Went with a group and we were very well looked after pre, during and post round. As it was a very hot day they made sure we had plenty of cold water and other drinks at the halfway point. The course was in great condition and the practice facilities are very good.

Great day
Played as part of a group of 30. The course was in excellent condition with the front 9 being the biggest challenge with lots of elevation changes and water.Great practice facilities but a bit of a hike from the clubhouse.
Food was excellent and staff very welcoming.
