First time at this golf course and absolutely loved it!Such a lovely welcome from Steve the pro and golf members alike which all helped to make our day an enjoyable one.A beautiful well maintained course in a fab location.

Fabulous course
With everything from blind holes to sharp dog legs, challenging par three's, plus extremely picturesque views around many of the points on the course, It's a golf course to think your way round, whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery even if you're having a bad golf day. Thankfully I had a great day and for once, the weather was fine. If you're in the area, play this course, you won't be disappointed.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 79 Handicap: 12.4)

After playing this course several times over the last few months it seems to be getting better and better every week. I couldn’t recommend this course highly enough. From the pro shop to the staff in the clubhouse,green staff and the members are all friendly and welcoming. The course is in a great condition and will definitely be playing again very soon.

First time playing this lovely course which was in great condition - it enjoys beautiful views over surrounding countryside. Very testing with undulating and hilly fairways and some blind tee shots - need to play it again and see if I can do better !

Played in today's 4BBB open competition on a beautiful October's day.
A warm welcome from the Pro & members set the tone for a very enjoyable visit. With some testing drives & challenging approach shots this course is a good test at any level.We all agreed that these were probably the best greens that we had played on this year! Well done to the green keepers.
After the 18 holes were completed a very enjoyable meal was provided in the clubhouse,served by the club's very friendly caterer. All of this for £12.50 each is an absolutely great day out!

Course in great condition. No winter greens, no winter tees playing off the grass. Nudging on fairways as well. Great value for money. Greens still a great pace. Would have to go and play at a links for conditions like this.

Excellent tees fairways and green. Played when getting wet in most other places and came off completely dry, very well drained. Undulating which makes it really enjoyable with great views.

Played this course today with lads from work and I can tell you it is in great condition, tees fairways and greens perfect. A real nice course to play with loads of variety and stunning views. Everyone commented that they enjoyed it and would play it again, highly recommended.

Nice course worth playing
Second time playing Walmersley, first time was some 15 yrs ago. Not changed much from memory but in much better condition. Friendly welcome by Ken in the pro shop. First tee a good opener, par 3 downhill with great views from the tee. The superb views continue all the way round. Course in great condition, lots of grass on the fairways which I don't mind. Greens mint rolled really well. A little hilly in places but nothing too strenuous. A couple of short doglegs to catch you out where position is key. Nice welcome and pint in clubhouse to finish, as Arnie says, I'll be back.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable days Golf
Just played in a Team competition here! Despite comments about the course conditions during,what was unprecedented period of drought,the course was in good condition.The greens rolled ok and looked to be getting back to how I had previously enjoyed them. This is echoed on the clubs Facebook page and is testament to the ground staff .Some of the members had shared some photos of the greens at their worst.They have obviously worked hard to get them back to the condition we played upon today! Hidden Gem in Old Lancashire
