Nice - hilly - course
Nice - hilly - course. The first looks intimidating, and the steep uphill gets the blood pumping. Some nice holes.
The course is in good condition.

Greens are lovely
Course looked great, greens running very true.Fairways a little too firm but that's a personal preference, made it a little difficult around the greens.

Great Challenge
We play this course regularly and still it’s a very interesting. No two holes are the same with a variety of challenges, plus you rarely get a flat lie. Added to this are the fabulous views especially from the higher part of the course.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: 15)

Stunning Views
Regularly play this course which is usually in excellent condition and has some stunning views. Each hole is different presenting so all parts of your game will be tested - not a flat Course but the extra exercise is worth it - otherwise buggies are available to hire.Reviewer Rating

Wonderful golf course
Straight from the off, you're challenged by a fantastic looking golf course. The views the whole way round are amazing and the course more than matches those stunning views. A very challenging course with lots of blind tee shots, but unlike many courses, the black and white marker posts actually correspond to where you need to hit your tee shot. Mind you err and you can find yourself in a whole heap of trouble. My first visit to this fabulous and very welcoming club, but it won't be my last. All round a fantastic days golf.A huge pat on their back, for all who work hard to make it such a great place to play golf.

Brilliant for the time of year.
Turton is a quirky course with some interesting holes and you don't have similar holes just following on from each other. We played it following a heavy bout of rain. Other courses in the area are like bogs but this wasn't. I can only think of 3 fairways that you would actually say had wet patches on them. Some of the others were absolutely bone dry.
We did have 7 mats (which are all good quality) and a couple of dodgy winter tees.
The greens though were awesome. Running true and fast. They were still very receptive though,
It's not a pushover despite being a par 69.
If you are looking for somewhere fairly dry to play in the winter then you don't need to look much further than here.

Easily the best course in the area
With astounding views over seven counties, Turton is a tough challenge requiring driving accuracy, good course management and an ability to read fast and subtly borrowing greens. Friendly and welcoming, this "no frills" golf club is a gem among the Northwest's litany of coursesReviewer Rating

Turton on the Hill
Ended up playing Turton after being let down by shaw hill as was closed due to rain the night before (in August ) This course is a hidden gem the course was in great condition with the greens outstanding. ..the layout was quirky & had a theme of onwards and upwards to the 9th but the views from there are stunning. ..all holes have a challenge to make par...excellent stuff...had a baguette & a pint in the club house later which was scrumptious. .all staff were pleasant & welcoming.Reviewer Rating
