Terrible day out... Arrived at the course and was charged 45£ for 2people with a buggy (fair price) but then it cost 25£ for 1 round without a buggy??!! after the 1st hole we caught up with a 4 ball which then turned into a 7 ball as they caught up with there mates and continued to play

Course well maintained but a little up and down and several holes where hitting blind. Having to ring the bell quite often. Big problem is that it is turn up and play, no tee booking system, so if caught in traffic a round can last a long time.

Fairways were quite patchy and only had a minimal grass covering. You can see the soil through the grass quite clearly. My back garden has better grass coverage. Greens very bobbly. I know we've had an awful winter of rain, but other courses in the area are better presented. Definitely not worth £25.

Perfect conditions at this late stage in the year; the greens were very fast but true.

Best course around in newport for the price well looked after greens and fairways. And a challenging course to play even for low handicaps

Very Hilly course, doesnt take wet weather as well as most other courses but is generally in decent condition.
+ course links up well if getting caught between large groups allows for a quicker round

The course was in good condition apart from a few wet spots on the side of some fairways

a course thats well looked after great greens some tough shots but well playable for all levels of golfer very welcoming and good pro shop

lovely club house, pretty tricky golf course to play, some blind tee off shots which i dont personally like, but thats what some of the welsh courses are like to play....pretty hilly course as well, so expect a good trek....

Long(ish) course that feels longer because of the hilly nature to many holes. Lovely scenery but greens were a little battered (April 2011)...lots of people not repairing their pitch marks!
If you've got a golf trolley and a good pair of legs i'd recommend. £20 for summer green fees are very reasonable. Buggies available for those with a dicky hip or lazy predisposition. I've played worse courses for more money!
