Despite the wet conditions underfoot, there wasn’t too much mud around & only evident away from the fairways. The greens were excellent too. And no temporary tees.

Lovely Course
Always in great condition.Practice facilities are quite basic and no clubhouse is a bit of a negative, but in terms of a course to play on, when comparing to other courses around the same price bracket in and around Essex, this is still the best one.

Best Course In Essex
Excellent course in fantastic condition. Provides great challenges for all levels of gold and also has some very picturesque holes. 12th is the signature island green hole but there are 6 or 7 holes that I would say are better than that.Reviewer Rating

Decent
Really good condition throughout, including greens, although they were just a bit unnecessarily slow.Love that there's a grass range to use.
Not much in the way of a post-round drink available (have to go to the Indian restaurant).

Best course I have played so far in Essex, greens amazing and tee boxes looked after well. Being a mid to high handicap golfer it was a difficult course but a few great shots made it great. We will definitely be returning

Suburb course, challenging to all levels. Island Green on the 12th.
Excellent condition, with well timed intervals between tee offs.
The only thing missing is bar, but having said that there's a great pub 2 minutes up the road

One of the best courses in Essex with value to match
Played this course a number of times in the last few years and after the week of rain we have had, I didn’t have the highest hopes that the course would be dry especially so early in the morning. The course was in perfect condition with greens fast and rolling pure even with morning dew. The course isn’t the longest and can be fairly forgiving (as a higher handicap player), but provides some pretty amazing looking holes. For £45 a round on a weekend you can’t get any better in my opinion. Also helps when you shoot your two best ever scores there, great course.Reviewer Rating
