An odd round to be honest. Too many basics not in place: greens were in poor condition (patchy and quite spongey), bunkers need some fresh top sand and they need better markings/signage in general.

Pace of play was quite slow and the layout doesn't help achieve a quick round I.e having to wait for players on random tees/greens before playing shots. In honesty it feels like they've tried to squeeze a golf course into a small space, but could be fine if they re-jigged the layout.

Positives: some genuinely interesting holes (but too many 'so-so') and decent facilities, plus the club house was busy with people eating which gave it a good communal atmosphere. Would be good for a learner, but too expensive (not good value for
Money) and will feel cramped for the more experienced golfer.

Played here today for the first time. Car park needs to be resurfaced. Clubhouse is ok. Lack of signs telling you where the first tee is. This was a theme for the day. Standing on the 1st hole you wonder where you have to hit your shot. The green was in a shocking state. 2nd green had a lot of sand on it and I wondered if I was allowed to ground my club!! Cardiac Hill is a nice hole but you cannot hear the bell from the tee. So you have to chance it and hope the group in front have moved on. The 8th tee is past the 17th Green at the bottom of the hill. We spent a good few minutes working out where we had to go. 200 yards between the 7th green and 8th tee. But the dangerous bit is that you actually walk down the 17th fairway. And as we found out later, the 17th tee shot is blind. The greens got better as we continued. Normally the 18th should be one of the best holes on the course but this one isn't. For me it's a dangerous course. No signs to guide you to the next tee. No 150 yard markers. They had a 200y, 150y and 100y discs in the centre of the fairway. Just not good enough. The ground was boggy but that's because of the amount of rain we've had. 2 out of 10 for me. Won't be going back.

A diabolical golf course. Just about enough room for 9 holes, so why anyone would consider it a good idea to crowbar eighteen in is beyond comprehension. Easy to get lost, even easier to have a near miss from an adjacent group. Even when on the tee finding the right line can be close to impossible as this place is mainly bereft of definition. Greens were well below average: a sandy mess and like concrete. After nearly hitting most par fours the best bet is to choose where you want to play your next chip from (amongst the straggly, unkempt aprons and surrounds). Bunkers, lack sand (unlike the greens). Tees were a mess.

Bar area is a bit old dank, but the staff were nice enough. Pro-shop folks were friendly but the range is overpriced and the balls are in a shocking state.

Okay course for a beginner, but that's about it.

I played this course in a match and have to say it is one of the worst courses I have had the displeasure to set foot upon. The layout is poor and the course of the condition matched this. Awful place and I wouldn't recommend it to any serious golfer.

Dumbfounding course layout, poor signage or between greens and the next tee. Its inexpensive enough which is just as well as i've played here twice and yet to finish a round as i've given up both times searching for the next tee and just gone to one i could find.

Decent course, but feels expensive at £25 per round (midweek before 3pm). Clubhouse facilities are ok. Good driving range with plenty of bays.

Don't look at a the yardage of a course, look at the scores. This is only short, but the greens are small and tricky to stay on. The condition is ok, the fairways are reasonable, the greens are patchy with 2 types of grass showing through at the moment. The bunkers haven't been very well looked after, and need careful raking. Make sure you ask how to find the 8th tee, it's well over 200 yards from the 7th green. Finally there are some big hills to climb up and down.

Expensive for a course that is not that great. There are plenty are others around that are much better to play like Stockwood, Luton. And value for money can be achieved and a number of courses before this one.
Confusing course layout with very long walks between greens and tees on many holes and no clear signage (in my opinion) having not played there before.
Clubhouse isn't great either.

Tilsworth is a very friendly course with a great attitude toward young and beginner golfers. However, dont forget your climbing boots as the front nine in particular is very 'up and down'.
