Dont play early!!
Dog walkers all over course, throwing balls and sticks for dogs on fairways. Cant see how that is safe. This could be a great venue but a golf course should be that and not a dog exercise site. Course is not in best condition but considering the weather we have had in the last six months could be worse. Ground staff could be a bit more aware of players waiting to play while they have a chat and smoke on the greensReviewer Rating

Not worth t
Sadly the course is in the poorest condition I have ever seen. It looks like it's been used by walkers for many months. No fairway grass, Poor greens, temporary greens, swathes of walkers, huge areas of bare patches that will not recover this year. The only positive was seeing some greens under reconstruction. My advice, stay away !Reviewer Rating

I played Tilgate this morning and they have acquired a new machine for rolling the greens and what a difference. They are the quickest I've seen them ever.
All fairways cut 3 temp greens while they mature but great thinking man's course can't just whack the driver every hole.
Thanks again Tim

No course care and does not deserve 3.8 rating
A friend booked tee times for end of December to play here, I saw a 3.82 rating and read reviews here, I should have been warned by the scattering of terrible reviews. It was very much that way. What is a nice course layout is ruined by complete lack of maintenance, doesn\'t look like a groundsmen has visited in months. All mats for tees, 7 greens were temporary and the others may as well have been, grass was an inch thick on greens.Reviewer Rating

not as bad as the reviews I read
Yes, there are 6 temporary greens, and they are a pain, but the other greens were Ok for this time of year. Had to play of mats which I loathe and couldn't see why. Course directions were poor too.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 16)
