Really nice people in pro shop and bar, all very hospitable and friendly. The trouble is that the course is an absolute quagmire (end Jan 2015) and should either be closed completely or tee times should offered at massively discounted prices to compensate for all the balls that you will lose. Tee mats are poor (only good for short tees) and often pointing in the wrong direction, fairways are sodden but as good as they can be. Greens are OK, but the rough and areas leading up to the tees are an absolute joke though - dangerously thick, wet and slippery. I'm sure it's fine in the Spring and Summer but the course does not drain well at all, so I would suggest you avoid at this time of year. Somehow managed to scramble together 30-odd points and only lose 3 balls so I got off lightly!

14/3/13. 10 temporary greens today plus a few mats for teeing areas. Course was very boggy in places.

I played the Jubilee course which was in good condition. The greens were generally in very good condition, though many of the bunkers were out of use. If you are aiming to improve your handicap you will have to play very well as the slope rating of 100 reflects the lack of challenge the course presents. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant round and the members and club officials were very welcoming.

SMALL COURSE
EXCELLENT CONDITION LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE FILLING IN SOME OF THE BUNKERS WITH SOIL SO IN TURN REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF BUNKERSALL BUNKERS STILL GUR
