Very disappointing
Todays visit on the whole was very disappointing. Whilst the course was presented well for a public pay and play venue the greens were extremely in a poor state for playing. They were very slow, very uneven and appeared to actually stop the ball from rolling freely toward the target hole. The whole idea of a contactless payment only venue was also not welcomed on the day. The only good things in favour for the visit was the food and drink were very good and the staff were very friendly. The pay and display facility car park I did understand the need for and didn't distract from the day as you inputted your car reg. number into the system in the clubhouse anyway without having to pay albeit by card as well, not good.Reviewer Rating

very nice course
very good value for money, played the same day as a county match, pins were in tricky positions , but greens were fast and true,(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.5)

Sister Course Different Challenge
Sister course to Orton Meadows and completely different. Much longer and far less hazards. Long hitting needed to coupe with distance. Undulating and greens can be tricky. Well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Mr John Condon
Played the course on 11th June with three other Fakenham golf members and was met with a friendly face at the payment office and advised of all Covid regulations in force. We then had a very enjoyable round on a very well looked after course with lovely views and some tremendous holes. This is the best course we have played for many a year and all the local golfers were very friendly and courteous which made our day. We will be back again later in the year and stay overnight to play both courses. Many thanks to you all.
Best regards
John Condon, Geoff Vertigan, John Banson, Grenvill Dagless of Fakenham Golf Club.

Disappointed
The course whilst presented well suffered from very poor greens. They were bobbly and very slow. That not being the biggest problem it was the extremely unwelcoming arrival of our society. They couldn't have been any more non interested in us if they tried. Even in these troublesome times there was no options They wanted to try for us. 21 players ended up in small groups outside in the rain. It will be a long time before I return. It must be a brave business that can turn down 21's bar bills etc. Disappointed covers it all.Reviewer Rating

Nice public course in great surroundings
A nice public course in great surroundings, well set out and challenging in parts, very good and quick greens, course looks well looked after. Nice clubhouse, small car park though. Busy venue and with a par 3 start makes a slow day usually delayed to to your start time.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 19.8)
