Course in dreadful condition. The greens are shocking. Worst i have seen in 10 years. Give this place a miss!!!!!!

Used to enjoy this course but it's deteriorating and I am not sure I will return. The course has lost a few tee boxes and you tee off from the fairways or so it seems. This is a good course for beginners but not one of my favourites

"providing insights for others" The Fen Course does not exist anymore. Would be nice if they updated their websites to inform people of this rather than letting them find out after they have got there.

Played Fen Course Friday evening - virtually the only person out there, which was great for taking the pressure off. Fairways and teeing areas in very good nick, but the greens and bunkers are in desperate need of care. Greens mossy and lumpy. Bunkers have gone solid - I hit a bunker and the sand was so hard, that I had a lucky bounce out that extended my drive another 30-40 yards!
Also some of the bridges across ditches are in very poor state of repair on the out 9.
The style of the course is good for beginners like myself - enough challenges to make it interesting, without being too punishing, which is a real confidence booster.
Price at twilight rate was good, but not sure I would pay the full rate given the quality of the greens and bunkers.
