What the club says: The Manor House Golf Club course adjoins the magnificent grounds of the luxurious Manor House Hotel and is set in 200 acres of wooded valley and downland. Peter Alliss, who designed the 6500 yard, par 72 championship course with Clive Clark says, "It's hard to imagine a finer setting for an English golf course." The setting, layout and design make each hole memorable and the course is testing yet fair and enjoyable.

Manor house -excellent
This is a challenging course with most holes being significantly different from one another. The 2nd is beautiful par 3 with an elevated tee and a river surrounding the front and sides of the green. The 12th has a split fairway with the first half elevated then dropping again to the second half but with the green very elevated at the end of this par 5. You will also enjoy the 17th (Wait and see). The hotel and pro shop are very welcoming, and the food is great.Reviewer Rating

Spectacular but overpriced
As an erratic player I had a superb round this week grossing 92. Greens in excellent condition, some spectacular holes and mostly forgiving and in most cases wide enough fairways for this old chap. Thoroughly enjoyable day with my best golf buddy, but at ?75 per round ? overpriced. Worth maybe ?50 but no moreReviewer Rating

Almost Brilliant
There are so many great things about this course, it seems a shame to "only" score it a 7. However, as someone in the group I played with said, it has "greens like Baywatch, tees like Crimewatch". They are truly terrible in places, more akin to patchy rough than tees. If they sort that out, this is an easy 9/10Reviewer Rating

Many signature holes with steep inclines and wooded valleys.
Bunkers well looked after and lovely greens. Tee boxes a bit worn in places but hardly surprising with the drought.

What a wonderful golf course, with stunning views across the county. Greens and tee boxes in excellent condition, particularly bearing in mind the current drought. Staff very friendly throughout as well. Highly recommend this golf course and we will return.Reviewer Rating

A very happy returning customer
This is a repeat visit and each time the facilities improve. This is an ambitious venue with sustainability at its core thinking. I enjoyed the stay and play experience at the hotel and together the package was exemplary. Michelin starred restaurant, hotel, top quality golf course playable all year round. If I lived closer I would want to be a member here. Gastronomic golf at its very best. 5 years. Highly Recommended.consistently excellent service provision.Loved itReviewer Rating
