What The Club Says

Telford Golf and Country Club's picturesque 6,741 yard, par 72 championship golf course is set in 170 acres of Shropshire countryside, within the boundary of the World Heritage site that is the Ironbridge Gorge. Opened for play in 1976 the attractive parkland course features strategically placed water hazards and tree-lined fairways. The undulating greens are laid on a suspended water table system, the same as Augusta, home of the US Masters. The Club has had £14 million invested in its facility and now boasts a 4 star hotel.

Good course, green & tees could do with a bit of TLC but there are one of two special holes with a mix or risk & reward that make it tough

I did not play very well as it rather hot, but the course was in good nick and everyone was very friendly.

Great welcome

My wife and I have played this course a few times and we are generally pleased each time we go, although I had a bit of a indifferent game, I blame it on the unusually warm weather.

A lovely venue mismanaged

A lovely venue mismanaged by very slow play due to far too many players being allowed on the course. Shame because the hotel and whole set up is great. The rooms, facilities, bar and catering were excellent. Very picturesque in a lovely part of the country and the round was enjoyable but at almost 6 hours was way too long. The condition of the course was good and there were a few tricky holes. I would recommend and would be happy to return but not on a weekend.

Excellent course whether you are a high, mid or low handicap. Facilities are also great if you want to make a weekend of it.

The course was in very good nick considering the weather we had had in the previous weeks. Some long holes and large Greens. Our round was spoiled by members jumping in on the 10th tee, turning our round from enjoyable to a boring stop start back Nine. I wish clubs would bring back course Rangers.
