Great condition

Great course for higher handicappers. Wide fairways and opportunities to score on every hole. Also in great condition for time of year - no temporary tees or any GUR on the course.

A wonderful course in my local area. Staff are very friendly and fantastic clubhouse facilities as well as practice area.

Great little course

Played during storm Francis, so conditions were not ideal. However, this is a little gem of a course. The mixture of holes is very varied, but I can't think of any hole that wasn't great fun to play. Some large undulating greens which were in great condition. Difficult to decide on a signature hole but the 9th and 14th are great fun. I'll definitely be going back.

A good challenge

A varied and undulating course with lots of challenges and few really easy holes. Always in good condition whenever I play there.

Links Golf with Trees!

Very unusual course built on the site of an open cast mine. Severely undulating fairways rarely give a flat lie & you may not find your ball where expected, but this is a fun course to play.
Good fast greens, many which slope as well and, vitally, the surrounds are well maintained, as I found myself putting from off the green a few times.
Fabulous views, a nice expansive clubhouse, very friendly staff & members so I had the impression this would be a good golf club to be a member of.... I loved it!

Beautiful peaceful day out

Down in Somerset for a week so payed a visit here. Very warm welcome from the pro who showed me where everything I needed would be. Pace of play was fine ,we were a relaxed two ball round in 3 hr 45 mins. No one chasing us down. The course was in perfect condition. Greens were running very well. Some really interesting greens. Fat lad carrying his clubs and a very hot day and it was quite a walk. Would probably get a trolley next time. Very nice spike bar and terrace for after round drinks where members and staff alike were friendly. If i’m ever down that way again I would not hesitate to pay it another visit.

Grteat layout, and a proper challenge

A really varied 18 holes, with left and right dog-legs, decent length par 5s, and a good range of lengths for the par 3s.
Well worth a visit and I'll definitely be back

Just played Taunton & Pickerage didn't know what to expect, l had never been to the course before but it was a great setting for a course on the Blackdown Hills just 5-10 minutes from the M5...it had a great mixture of holes,with lush fairways and very quick greens, well worth a visit for a society or a couple of golfers looking for a great day's golfing...

I haven't played here for several months and never before in the 'winter'. The course in in great condition with only 1 temporary green (the 1st where they're improving the drainage). There were several winter tees but all close to normal tees.
The course was dry and greens well manicured and just as tricky as ever. The pro and clubhouse staff are extremely polite and helpful.
And all this for only ?14 each as visitors booking online!!
Thoroughly recommended, a great course in beautiful surrounding with a very friendly welcome.

Excellent course fairways in good condition, greens were true and the sand in the bunkers was soft.

Great course but members etiquette?

Great course to play, tremendous clubhouse and staff but we (a 2 ball) played following a 4 ball off the Seniors roll up and not only were they slow ( which is ok) they absolutely refused to allow us through even though we were on the same tee three times. I would play again but please, members welcome visitors.

Very nice course and dry under foot when nearby courses are waterlogged. Main greens were under some maintenance and uneven but only a temporary issue. Worth a visit with incredible views.
