Glorious
The weather started off misty and very still, but soon warmed up to glorious sunshine. The course is a lovely mature course, quite tight in places with mature trees, but generally easy to find your ball.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 110 Handicap: 28.5)

The Staffordshire
Really good course. Tough conditions because ground hard and ball runs off fairway easily, but still a really fair test. Facilities good but not outstanding. Friendly place and good value for money at £25 a round on weekend.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: )

Love this course
It's a 45 minute journey for me but well worth the journey away from my home club in Redditch. Some lovely holes here. It's a real thinkers course. Drew the driver just 8 times all round today - it is a strategic course. Not overly long at par 71 5947 yards. No long holes. Only the 12th at 441 yards (but down hill!) I'd consider long for a mid handicapper. All three par 5's are less than 500 yards. But it is no push over - it's all about finding the short stuff off the tee. Plenty of trees to keep you honest. No water.Hole14 is my favourite hole in the Midlands. It is a huge sweeping dog legging left.....so very like Formby's 8th hole on Merseyside framed by Fir trees. Beautiful! You even marvel at it back down from the green.
It is the only course i have played (twice) in 2019 where i have played under my handicap.
Only downside I hear is that winter means it is frequently closed. But we had a cracking round this evening! What wit the sun setting behind the par 3 17th green....idyllic.
Oh, and 15 pounds a round and 15 pounds for a buggy - what a steal.
6 pounds for 2 pints not bad either!
When the driving range opens this will be amazing

Great Course
Played here today and what a fantastic course. Back 9 is unbelievable. Especially hole 14, my new favourite golf hole in the Midlands.Be prepared for a stern test as this course really makes you think. Tight fairways lined with trees and undulating fairways make this place very tricky.
100% be playing here again. Make sure you take a buggy as this place can get rather hilly.

Hidden Gem
First visit to this course. Very friendly welcome from Club Professional. Not a long course but quite tight and very picturesque among mature tree lined fairways.
Very good condition considering time of year.

Absolutely loved it!
Although my sat nav took me to the far side of the course rather than the entrance that was the only negative. So many interesting holes. I remarked to some players/members on the 7th tee what a fab course they had and they all said ?just wait til you see the back nine! They were right. Even more adventures! Some real stand out tee shots like the elevated 6th also great views on 10th 14. Loved 14. Very like the par 5 eighth at Formby....one of my all time favourite holes framed by pine trees.
For ?10 as a winter fee there is nowhere providing better value. Ok a few temporary greens didn't take any of the enjoyment away. Just makes me think I gotta play on the summer too!
Once the driving range reopens it will have the best views ever!

Fantastic course worth visiting
What an absolutely delightful course. A really interesting mix of holes with the front and back nine being two characteristically different sets of holes. Plenty of unusual and challenging holes. We played on a cold winters day but the course was in excellent condition, except for 4 holes with temp greens. The rest of the greens had been hollow tined so there was some bumps to contend with but overall they were in decent condition for the time of year. Some of the holes really stand out, mainly the par 5's. Plenty of dog legs to test your draws and fades. Just a really enjoyable course to play in beautiful surroundings and some lovely views.Reviewer Rating

Good value and layout
I've played the Staffordshire on a few occasions and always enjoy the variety it has to offer. Mature trees, slopes, elevations and well sanded bunkers the only thing really missing are some water hazards.Happened to visit during the random ladybird epidemic that featured in the news and it certainly made for a testing round. Whilst addressing the ball 15-20 would land on you before each shot such were the numbers of them, a little distracting when they choose your hands and face as a landing zone!
Enjoyable day though and the course was in fairly good condition. Only criticism being that the greens seemed very firm, high tee shot into the par 3 9th found the dance floor only to bounce 15 feet high and through the back onto the cart path!
Glad to have got a late 2018 visit in before the wet weather as the course can struggle in places in my experience, particularly the 14th (I think) as the entire hole slopes steeply right to left so in winter the left side tends to be completely closed due to the water run off and it's a nightmare of a hole to navigate even when it's fully open!
