Good track, normally in good condition
Sutton Green is a good golf course: excellent layout, interesting and varied holes, and a friendly welcome every time. I have played it in the past when the weather has been kinder and it has been in excellent condition. At the moment, with very little rain, the fairways are in danger of losing grass in places. The greens are being heavily watered but, as a result, were soft, spongy and a bit slow when I played. It didn't look like they had been cut in a while. However, certainly worth playing - the condition of all courses around London is beign compromised by the lack of rain.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 79 Handicap: 3.7)

Good Challenge
Nice course with some challenging holes. Well worth the visit. Obviously due to Corona 19 pandemic the clubhouse and facilities were all closed.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 14.3)

Cracking little Golf Club/Course
Played here back in August 2023. Really enjoyable course & will definitely be returning in 2024. A decent challenge & some cracking little holes. Unfortunately it decided to rain hard just before we played but that didn’t stop the enjoyment of the course. A very decent green fee price for what the course is. Greens were awesomeReviewer Rating

A nice layout but slightly falling on hard times
I have played Sutton Green many times over the years. It's a classic layout with a lot of character over fairly flat land, designed by Dame Lara Davies. No two holes are the same and it is fun but challenging to play. There have been plans to buy up the land for development thankfully twarted by the local council but it is not quite in the condition it has been in the past. Possibly because it was only two weeks after greens maintenance but the greens were very slow but looked to have recovered well. Fairways were a bit patchy in places but at £30 for an afternoon round it still present good value. Even so, there could not have been more than 3 or 4 groups on the whole course.

Very enjoyable day
Myself and my playing partner are high handicappers and found the course in great condition especially the greens. We both thought it a challenging and interesting course without being excessively punitive on wayward shots. Surprisingly quiet though?Reviewer Rating
