Worth a visit
We visited Stoneleigh in July when the grass was brown in the middle of the heat wave. The greens were all good though some tee boxes could have done with some TLC! An open course with little rough but some tricky slopes on fairways and greens. Good variation of types of holes, some over water. Nice greeting from pro, from members and good food in clubhouse.As the title says - well worth a visit.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: 20.4)

If the greens improve i will be back as it is a good challenging course. but the greens were extremely poor

Clearly the course has been over played. Greens really need some time off to get back into shape. Far t9 many divots and marks. Otherwise a standard winter round.

Course is probably best played in the summer months, a number of holes at present are played off winter mats which is not ideal. Greens I would imagine have been very good in the summer, but at present they have suffered from what looks like Fusarium disease, making them patchy. There are however some very good deals including a round of golf and breakfast during the winter months.
