Great venue and courses, greens well paced good sports bar and very friendly service staff with good food as well. A great place to go for a short golf break.

Well worth a visit
Really helpful, friendly staff. Knowledgeable in the pro shop and very helpful concerning tee times. We arrived after a morning of heavy rain and they had switched us to the Gainsborough course as we couldn’t use buggy on Constable course really thoughtful much appreciated. Food in Sports bar and the Lakes restaurant was excellent. Would recommend and we are definitely coming againReviewer Rating

Played both the Constable and Gainsborough over 2 days. Both in reasonable nick though greens have recently been tined and sanded so were a little random in places, but that work has to be done around this time of year. Little wet in places given the recent rain but otherwise well looked after. Hotel room, food and bar were all decent. Always enjoy coming here.

Although we’ve had lots of rain the course has held up really well, greens were a little difficult after the work that’s been carried out on them but still very good taking the weather into consideration

This is a great course that is well-maintained. It offers two different courses that will challenge your skills. The facilities are also great, with a clubhouse, shop, and accommodation.

Well kept/maintained. Two courses. Variety of challenging/character holes for all levels. Good facilities (clubhouse and shop) residential facilities. Overall good value.

Stayed one night at the hotel. Accommodation and food were excellent. Played the Constable and Gainsorough courses for the first time. Both were well-maintained and the greens were excellent. Some of the bunkers proved difficult to get out of and were in need of attention. Impressed by the greenkeepers who courteously stopped working whilst we played our shots. This is an ideal venue for golf societies.

Great layout. Another great society weekend to play both courses. Bar a bit pricey but that seems the norm in hotel based course. Was a bit boggy in parts - but hey there had been lots of rain during the week beforehand.

Great place !!
Great place to stay and two great courses.Constable course long and undulating and Gainsborough the same
but not as hard. Greens good but a bit on the slow side.
Hotel good and superb food. Bar staff in sports bar a bit cheeky and rude.

The course was in very good condition. Short but very interesting and tight. Good for all standard of golfers. Bunkers well tended.
