Fantastic course with splendid views. Staff extremely helpful. Every hole is different and challenging.. It's a must play! Great value too!

Absolutely lovely course. Members really great to get on with and very helpful as it was the first time we played this course. Bumped into the assistant pro who was patiently playing behind us, nice guy, willing to give advice etc. Can't wait to play here again, hats off to the ground staff, course in great condition.

an absolute pleasure to play this lovely course,not the longest but certainly tight and tricky,you must be accurate off the tee or oh dear is a phrase you will be hearing a lot

Played this course for first time and was quite impressed with it even though few of the holes were on temporary green due to heavy overnight rain. Got to plot your way around the course, some tricky potential card wrecking holes especially 7th,8th &13th, come off any of them with a par, job done. Although fairly short in length it is quite hilly in parts, a good walk round. Friendly members and staff. Would certainly be returning in the summer. (Played Feb 2014)

Excellent place to play fantastic greens and warm friendly welcome in the club house , beer excellent as is the food , tough course though and a hard walk for the less fit.

What a lovely course,totally worth the £17.50 green fee the views are worth that alone.the course was in top condition too...also like to mention staff at the pro shop were welcoming and happy that we were plaing their course......

good track all round. greens and tee in first class condition. a nice place to play but you do need good weather as it is high up in the hills. It is a hilley track but worth walk

Great course worth playing
My 2nd time round Stamford this time played in a Seniors Open. Little disappointed to find on arrival that there was no catering available, not even tea & coffee, poor really considering the number of Seniors in the competition. That a side friendly welcome in the pro shop. Good practice facilities, nets and putting green. Great opening par 4 hole, elevated tee to narrow fairway with brook running down left side. The par 4 second hole needs full attention, dogleg to the left to small green. And that's how it continues, some holes needing a bit of planning to score on. Greens ran okay even though they had been hollow tinned previous week. Some steepish climbs about the course but rewarded with some great views. Nice friendly clubhouse, shame about the lack of breakfast.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.2)
