plymouth golfer
Having not played at Staddon for over 12 months i was interested to see what it would be like on my latest vist . I found it poor the coarse looked worn with very little attention to detail the greens were very poor and compaired with other coarses in the area it has fallen behind having been a member in the past and looking to join a club now Staddon would be my last choice its a shame the management of this club have let things slide on the plus side the pro shop was a breath of freshair well stocked well run and a good pro but i have to say wasted at Staddon this club is falling behind the orher clubs in the area which is such a shameReviewer Rating

Played Staddon for the first time since all the changes in a league match and was a little disappointed. Greens ok, but the layout is still very much the same and a bit up and down. Nice views, but windy

Staddon Heights
Course in good condition and fantastic views. However, found the course boring. Greens and tees very close together and fairways were very close to each other. Seemed like they tried to fit 18 holes into a small space. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back there(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 89 Handicap: 11.6)

A tough course if the conditions are challenging.
The course can be very challenging if the wind gusts or prevails from a certain direction. The latter holes are very interesting, too many of the holes after the fifth simply traverse back and forth with minimum variation.Unless you can drive over 250 yards, these holes are difficult to achieve par.
The greens are immaculate and very testing.

Ok layout with great views!
Although the course is a challenge, it does feel a little ?samey? with a lot of holes just going ?up and back?Great views and always worth a go especially in the summer.

Played with a member, my first time at this course. Greens were fantastic, firm and true. Rest of the course well maintained. Very windy conditions that make some tee shots very tough and heavy rain the last few holes made it a challenge!

Played this course on a Sunday morning. 9-11am tee times are reserved for members. We were allowed to play but had to join a queue at the first tee. A booking system would be much better. Course was in good nick with an interesting layout with possibly some of the best views in the SW. Greens weren't bad if a little unreceptive. Well worth the ?20 though and the food in the clubhouse was good too.

Lovely course with fantastic views. We knew we had to go when the wind was low so pick your day but I'll be going here now at every opportunity. Managed to hit GIR of on the fringes on all the 4s which was a massive boost to someone who is trying to brake 100.
