I have played golf for 24 years and played on 100's of courses and this quite simply is the best course I have ever had the pleasure to play! It is breathtaking in every department and I cannot find any negative about the whole place. The course is tough but a thrilling experience with every whole being memorable. It is superbly kept, tight fairways and the truest links experience you will ever find. I play off 12 and shot 21 over par, enjoyed every shot in pouring rain and wind and would play here everyday for the rest of my life and never be bored. If you are a golfer this is an absolute must!
I know others rave about certain other courses in Cornwall but the only similarity they have with St Enodoc is that they're in the same county. If you imagine Premier league and Sunday league and St Enodoc as champions of the Premiership you will understand this review.
Thanks for the best golf experience I have had St Enodoc, others should look at what you do and take note.

Played here last Spring in awful conditions yet I still enjoyed myself which goes to show what a great course it is. 6 and 10 are the obvious stand out holes but I must give a special mention to the finish which had a great trio of holes to end the round on.

The welcome I received before the round was fantastic and after the round I was invited back to sample the course in better conditions which I do plan on doing again sometime.

A roller coaster of the finest quality

2nd time I've played it in 2 years. The course is great fun. no 2 holes a like. Some real traditional links holes on long 1st, 7th, 8th 16-18. And some really interesting holes where yoou ahve to navigate hazards like no other on 6 and 10 particualrly. The views from the topon 13/14 are like no other. We did the twilight after 4pm for £60 which is fabulous value for money. We didboth Sauntons the two days after and everyone enjoyed St E the most!

Great practice facilities and food too.

what views!

I always though Saunton East was my favourite all time UK course ...but now there is a challenger. The views of the estuary/bay are just idyllic. From the back of the tee on 12 to up top of the hill on 14. The camera is out constantly! I liken it to the views if you play Nefyn in North Wales ...but start to finish and all the way round this is a proper tough test of good golf.

The third is just so unique. Totally blind where to fire your tee shot. Just beware the dry stone wall over the dunes with your second to the left in front of the green. That is something I have never encountered before!

The iconic 6th with the crazy Himalaya bunker is a great fun hole. Never seen anything like it. I'm sure i never will either.

But I loved this course. Every hole is so very different to any other with an amazing backdrop.

We took advantage of the summer twilight rate which was around £50 so a fantastic price. Even our ex PM David Cameron was out at the same time!

But some of these iconic links courses are public pathways too. I've faced dog walkers everywhere; horseback riders at Pennard; Horses and sheep on the green at Royal North Devon, But here a first.....a beautiful surfer girl walking right across the 9th fairway with just her beach towel around here. If that doesn't put you off.... Then the smell of BBQ from the beach on the 16th with the views across to Padstow just amazing!

We found a premier inn in Wadebridge close by which did the trick.

If you are serious about golf you need to go to Cornwall and Devon an play St Enodoc, Trevose and Saunton. Heaven on earth

This is a must play golf course! I played it in June 2014 in perfect weather, which no doubt added to the joy of the day, but really if you cannot enjoy this course, find another pastime. The scenery is incredible! There must be a dozen holes that are fit for a postcard. The greens were simply perfect, every green rolling the same perfect speed, no bumps, no wobbles. Yes the clubhouse has a sense of old time golf values and a bit upperclass, but we are lucky to be able to play such a fine golf course, so mind your manners. Take plenty of golf balls and if you miss the fairway off the tee, hit a provisional as the rough can be brutal if lush underfoot. There are so many great golf holes on this stunning piece of land, James Braid was one lucky boy to be able to design a course here. I don't think any first timer would score well around St Enedoc though, it is one of those courses ( like Perranporth) that once you have been around once, some of the mystery will evaporate. There is plenty of mystery and blind shots at St Enedoc. If you get the opportunity, try and play with someone who has played it before, if not, try and place the course twice. Simply a marvellous golf course, the finest links greens I have experienced and one of the best pieces of land. A real treasure of Cornwall NAND on a perfect summers day, hard to beat.

A holiday treat each year. St Enodoc is unparallelled as a links course, for the course, the views of the Camel Estuary and the clubhouse. Every hole is a classic, not just the 6th and the 10th. Greens are a real challenge with slopes all over the place. The 14th green is cut in half with a drop over a wall. What an approach shot that makes. This course is also in my top 3.

just returned from a golf trip to the south-west and i'm completely blown away by the sheer beauty of this course. i did'nt even play well and it was blowing a gale and showers but the feeling of playing somewhere truly special helped me overcome that. This is not an easy course to get on or an easy course to play, i have played most of the british open courses and most of the big courses in spain and portugal, i can honestly say that the condition here was the equal of or better than any and at £55 summer rate is an absolute bargain. Go there !!!

Played here yesterday for the first time. The course certainly lived up to its reputation...magnificent! The weather was a bit hit and miss and sadly so was the golf, but it didn't matter. Courteous friendly staff, great organisation, lovely food. Thank you St Enodoc, I will be back.

Amazing course, well worth the visit

Played for the first time, having heard many good things. Lots of memorable holes and a great challenge as a golfer. If I could get off the tee or putt I may have put a good score together, but alas your whole game needed to get a good on here, but it is fair and the quality of the condition and design is up there. Not cheap but worth it.

Probably one of the best 5 courses I have played in the UK.

Bar staff excellent as were all members of staff.

Holywell Course

This is very much a back up to the main Church Course. Played it for iron practice but it's a lovely layout in its own right and in fantastic condition. The tees, fairways, bunkers and greens are as good as any links I've played - the fairways being particularly lush and forgiving. The patrons are extremely well to do Old Boy, but the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. ?35 well spent and would pay ?110 for the Church course based on this experience.

Stunning - A Must Play

Absolutely stunning course is scenic setting.

The whole place is special and in perfect condition.

Two or three tougher holes that can be very challenging depending on weather condition's but should be enjoyed by any player of any ability.

Great views on most holes and the way the course plays out is fantastic, some real quirkiness to it as well!
