I am proud to take golfers from other courses to play the course. It is not a course that you get a big stick out it and so on. You need to play the course and think about it. It has some challenges for all standards.
The staff and fellow members all are easy to get on with and you are made welcome. You can always get a game if you are on your own.
I have asked if a couple of things could be considered to improve the course. They have been considered and had a response from the staff. They have been done.

Nice challenging course

A nice challenging course. Hilly with lots of blind holes. Good mixture of short and long holes. Due to the previous wet weather parts of the course were very muddy and the conditions were made worse by the continuing use of trolleys. Greens in poor condition but we were made aware of this before we started. A thoroughly enjoyable round of golf and looking forward to playing the course again when conditions are better. Great value for money and friendly staff.

Could be a great course

This course could be superb!....It needs some work doing to it. I have played many courses over recent months and unfortunatley this has to be down there as one of the poorerst. Despite its excellent layout and challenging holes the up keep and condition is not good at all. The greens were nothing short of awful! Evey green was very bobbly with some of them having hole size craters in meaning you could never get a goof rolling putt. The fairways on some holes were worn out and not very green and the tee boxes all lumpy meaning you were never really hitting off a flat surface. With some care and attention this course could be really really good!...I have played here before and not seen it this bad. Quite disappointed today. The pace of play was also very poor. Groups in front very slow to play and not allowing us to play through despite meeting them on almost every tee.

Brilliant hospitality and venue

Lovely venue and staff were very welcoming. Good clubhouse and shop. Food excellent. Course layout good and challenging with plenty of uneven lies, trees, water, hedges and bushes galore. Extremely hilly, need to be fit to play and enjoy. A little upgrading work in progress but didn't distract from a great day. Will return.

Course in great condition. Greens look absolutely immaculate albeit fairly slower than some greens for this time of year. I can\'t stress enough how good they looked! Some fantastic holes. One of my favourites!

The course is in fantastic condition, the greens were very quick with a lot of subtle breaks making chipping and putting a real challenge. Some of the most enjoyable greens I have played on. The course itself is very hilly and you need to bring an accurate long game to find the right lies. It’s a course that provides a true test – you will use most of the clubs in the bag. There are 3 or 4 really beautiful holes – my highlight being the 10th which has a breath-taking view of the countryside. Course is a real test of fitness as well. We paid £16 each for our round – excellent value for money.

great course,my fav in the area.not long but very tricky due to rolling fairways and blind shots, you need to be very accurate to score well.playing this course over the last year has massively improved my game as your forced to use all your clubs and shots. The greens are always true and are amongst the fastest in the area.considering being a member I like it that much.

Major gripe with the yardage markers on some of the holes especially a couple of the par 3's, a member even admitted " you should knock 20 yards off what it says"!!!!!!
Apart from that first impressions were good and enjoyed some challenging holes with chances of scoring well, the greens did have way too much sand on them though and the use of yellow 150 markers is confusing.
