The first thing to say about this course is that it is far better than it looks on its own website. It has a variation of holes with well placed fairway and greenside bunkers on most holes. Good views of Tynemouth to the north and Sunderland to the south complete the picture. The pro, barstaff and most of the members were very friendly - just a shame about some of the seniors who teed off at 8am the day we played!

A very tidy course which I enjoyed very much. Although not a spectacular looking course most holes had interesting features to them. This coupled with the fantastic views down to Tynemouth on one side and Sunderland on the other made for a great day out.

Great course & great staff

Best winter course in the north east
When others are closd or had restrictions in place the course was firm, all greens in play, normal tee boxes and no restrictions on buggy or trolly use.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic Open Comp
Played in the Gents open on Thursday 17 October Course in great condition felt like we where on a course in summer. Played off whites tees lovely beef dip afterand staff said they had just changed to new beer had a Bierre Morrett for under £4.50! ValueReviewer Rating

Played South Shields Golf course today. Fantastic condition for Early April. Made to feel welcome in the clubhouse, shop and on the course. Fast greens were amazing!
Giving you a lot of confidence when putting. If you are looking a for somewhere to play this year make sure you consider South Shields!

Greens and condition of the course superb. Played yesterday and really enjoyed it, all the staff really friendly. Represents great value for money as the course is always in good condition!

Played the course yesterday in the open. Course was excellent, greens especially good. Firm and true lots of putts dropped from our group. Food and drink excellent afterwards too. We really enjoyed it and will be back next month.
