Poor greens and tees
Phoned the Six hills and booked to play the following day. Turned up to find the greens had been hollow tined and sanded so not worth even trying to putt on them. With the holes less than three foot from the fringe. We were very surprised and disappointed that Six Hills didnt make us aware of the quality of the greens when we rang to book. The course itself was well tended, but with some unusual holes, but not in a good way..
Many of the tee boxes are not flat so not great to play off.

I didn't book here before playing, just turned up on a Thursday mid morning. The lady on the shop told me I could go off as soon as I was ready. The down side to playing alone is that a 4ball and 3ball, who were togetherReviewer Rating

Value for money
Great value on twilight rounds. The course is simple and some holes are a bit unchallenging but the greens are always in good nick and the staff are great.Reviewer Rating

A winter pleaser
I decided to give this a go as the last time I played here must've been at least 20 years ago. I would say that things have progressed quite well and from the wrong turn as I entered the driveway (don't go left, go straight on) I think if memory serves me right they had a porter cabin on the first tee when I last played and once I found the clubhouse sign, it was obvious if a big van wasn't obstructing the sign. I haven't booked but the lady in the clubhouse said that if I was quick enough I could get in front of a booked teatime and begin my round which I duly did. All tees were on Mats, Which was a good decision as you could see all the tee boxes nicely growing grass for the upcoming season. An easy course to play quite straightforward and flat as others have said but playing into the wind made it much longer I would definitely like to play here when it is a bit firmer.Reviewer Rating
