Fantastic Course from Start to Finish

Sitwell Park Golf Club ranks very highly in my Top list of courses to play. The reason is from the first imposing tee shot 300 yards down a large hillside with OB all down the left to the extremely difficult largely up hill 400 yard par 4 18th. It was a non stop challenge for any level of golfer.

Myself and two friends played a twilight round for £20 this afternoon.
We found the course to be in good condition generally, though they have been having some trouble with some brainless morons who've vandalised the 5th green by carving a two foot swastika on it and the flagstick had also been stolen. Luckily, as we were about to tee off, a security guy came over to us on a buggy to tell us why the flag was missing and I got him to drive to the green and stick my brolley in the hole before we hit our shots. He said the vandals were a persistent problem at the moment and consequently they'd now run out of spare flagsticks. Hopefully they'll catch the idiots soon.
Back to the course review then. The greens were fairly fast and not very receptive, so landing on the front or sometimes just short of the green was the order of the day.
The terrain is a little bit up hill and down dale so be prepared for a good workout. My legs were getting heavy over the closing holes and the last three are all uphill!
All in all I'd recommend a visit to anyone and, while a £20 twilight knock is a bonus, I don't think the £30 standard midweek green fee is by any means extortionate.

Possibly the best kept course in south Yorkshire. Definitely worth at least one round

lovely

played here for the second time, as a beginner, i found it to be very challenging for my ability, but enjoyed it all the same,lovely well kept greens and course

great condition,lightening fast greens

Pro very welcoming. Course in great nick, fastest greens I've played all year. Some very nice holes, particularly the par 3's and 5's. Last couple of holes a bit of a slog so take in plenty of calories to have the energy to finish. Would definitely recommend.

Society day

We started the day with a breakfast n what a breakfast it was it was lovely really nice the staff where really polite n nothing was to much trouble the golf professional was very polite n helpful the course was in great nick the greens where ok not as good as I remember them they where different speeds they where not consistent thanks to everyone at Sitwell for a great day The nags head
