Course Definately gone down hill over the years more
Mud then grass, always been known for excellent greens. However, expect a big disappointment most holes are crowned. Seriously

Very disappointed with the condition of this course being a private members club. Deforestation on a par with the Amazon for some reason, greens that would rival the Gobi desert, and mats on EVERY tee (hadn't played off mats since the Hastings pitch n putt). Actually that's incorrect, the holes without mats had you teeing from a patch of rough in front of the proper tees. I understand some maintenance is necessary from time to time, but tell people this on your WEBSITE. The course has a few interesting holes, but some, such as the 3rd and 10th are featureless fields, giving the impression of just being crammed in to fill a space. Shame.

The course was very wet and the greens had been spiked, making them impossible to putt on. The course itself is very open meaning you can spray it all over the place and get away with it. I would imagine it's much better in the summer when it's dry and the greens are running, but still not much of a challenge. Members were very rude, one lady member shouted at my playing partner to 'shut up' when he advised me he had found my ball. A group of vets were also abusive when a drive went near them, despite us shouting fore.

Lovely course and great value for money at £20 during the winter, just unfortunate that the club is well renowned for it's excellent greens, therefore some of them are closed off during rainy periods...hence the only letdown being several temporary tees and greens...will definately return during the summer months as you recieve a friendly welcome and enjoy lovely surroundings on a well maintained and challenging course.

A very nice place to play a round of golf. The course was in good condition and even though the greens had recently been hollow tined they were still running true and did not spoil the round. Nice people with a lovely clubhouse that served a superb breakfast. Would recommend it to any of my friends.

Very nice course played in lovely conditions. Only downside for me was the bunkers that have been filled with the grey powdery substance that is used on a few courses now.

beautiful well kept course

this course is excellent, fairways are like carpet, off the fairway can be rough, and plenty of trees to avoid

Nice country course

This is a nice country course, with great tee boxes, good fairways and medium speed greens. It is a good layout, with some easy holes and some tough ones too. No water holes, but nice sandy bunkers.
