What the club says: Founded in 1898 Sickleholme is a small friendly club nestling in the heart of the beautiful Peak District of Derbyshire, some 13 miles from Sheffield, 16 miles from Chesterfield and 15 miles from Glossop. With an undulating parkland course of 6,064 yards (Ladies 5,399 yards) and stunning views, it is hard to find a more spectacular or enjoyable venue anywhere.

Golf Course Reviews for Sickleholme Golf Club
My wife and I played on consecutive days in March 2018. The course had just reopened after the snow and rain so we were on temporary greens for the first of our two rounds. The course was in surprisingly good order considering how wet the course had been. We both enjoyed the course hugely. It is not long but accurate and straight hitting is required. The course is undulating to say the least so a full 18 holes gives quite a work out. The views of the surrounding peak district are beautiful and the course is obviously very well looked after by the green keeping staff. I would love to return and play again in the summer when the members inform me that the greens are fast and challenging. We received a very warm welcome from Patrick the pro and the bar/restaurant staff. Good beer and tasty food in the cosy clubhouse completed a very enjoyable trip to this little gem of a course. The friendly members are justifiably proud of their club and I would recommend a visit.
A warm day in October and plenty of rain. The greens were soft and gave very little bounce. Plenty of sand on them
This is a well kept course. Only white and red tees playing at the moment so an additional challenge!

Friendly welcoming staff from the Scretary to the Ground staff. Beautiful condition with challenging scenic holes throughout. An absolute joy to play. Recommended
