Great looking tradittional woodland course
Beautifully presented and plenty of Heather and gours. The wind played its part too. Would love to play there again one day when my 3wd doesnt let me down. The course was i great condition and greens true and fast. Were told that this was playable usually a lot more difficult. Mind you cost of round was not ideal. REK played out of his skin for 1st 9holes - 23pts. Calmed down a bit but won easily. Scored 36pts to my 31pts as nearest challengerReviewer Rating

Absolute beauty
Played the Forester 2023 event with a much needed practice round the day before, what a course and brill layout. greens excellent and slick. score on the front 9 and hold on round the back 9. you will need your A game with the driver or a spotter :-) £55 with lunch and 54 holes (inc practice round) best value for money EVER. Staff especially Maria outstanding along with super friendly chef/bar staff. the event was really well organised and even with bad weather a joy to attendReviewer Rating

Great course but serious challenge!!!
Sherwood Forest is a excellent golf course and will give any golfer a serious challenge. Despite playing in November, the fairways were bone dry and in very good condition, minimal scaring etc, tee boxes were excellent. The greens had been tinned so difficult to judge, but all the signs where there that they would be superb in the summer. The facilities are good and the club house is very picturesque and echos tradition. The course it's self is extremely challenging, and almost every hole has at least roughly around 150 yards carry in heathland. So accuracy off the tee is essential! To fully enjoy this course in all its glory, I would recommend a handicap of at least 18 to enjoy this course to its full potential All in all this is a great course and one for any golfer to tick off his list.Reviewer Rating

So enjoyable
From start to finish I loved it. From deer roaming over the course to seeing the autumn trees in all colours the views were great. The course was really nice and interesting with no 2 holes alike. Loved playing the 3rd, 4th and 18th with the clubhouse as the backdrop which looks magnificent. Members and staff were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit f in the north east midlands. Did Sherwood Forrest after Notts the day before with Golfbreaks for ?139 so pretty good value I think for 2 top notch courses.Reviewer Rating

Lovely heathland course. Was wayward off the tee for most of the day and played a total of 9 shots out of the sand.
