Could be so much better.
Course is way over priced for what they offer at the moment. Been reduced holes for so long and now back to 18 the ‘new holes’ are way off. There is no marshalling so people can just wander on whenever they want and play which makes the booking of t times a joke. More often than not there are at least two/three groups waiting to t off on each hole. This even happens on comp days. Owners said they would sort this but never did. T boxes are shocking and none are square. The greens are generally in good condition but the bunkers and fairways are not good. Worringly the new holes are the worse. A couple of the new fairways on the back are like playing off aggregate and are just full of stones. Parking is a nightmare and if you can manage to get in the clubhouse the drinks are overpriced and poor. If you are unfortunate enough to play there then don’t try to complain as the club shop workers just shrug and say ‘that’s golf’ and no one ever responds to emails. Such a shame as it could be a great course.Reviewer Rating

Annoying green keepers.
This course has recently been redesigned and is a challenge on the back 9. The challenge is made much much harder by ignorant green keepers that insist on mowing every fairway and tee box whilst your trying to take your shot. Now I know they have a job to do but surely customers teeing off at 9.30 should be miles behind them doing their daily job? Not here. Totally ruined the experience and club shop staff were not interested. This was my second and last visit to this course as the first time a green keeper chopped my ball into pieces. With his mower. Much better courses in the area for the £25 green fee.Reviewer Rating

Shocking
Course is in a disgraceful condition and more like a farmers field then a golf course. Constantly going on about how good it will be when it finally opens back to a 18 hole course but they should concentrate on the holes that are available now. Lovely club house but it is ran as a public bar and Resteraunt so can’t really call it a club house. Don’t waste your money or time.Reviewer Rating

The course itself the back new holes are not ready the quality of soil they have used for the seed to take is horrendous full of aggregate this should of been topped of with clean top soil and seeded or turfed, instead they have been so far behind it looks like its been rushed its like hitting a ball off a quarry works
such a shame waisted over 2 years here playing temp holes for nothing looks like i will be cancelling subscription

So so Sherdley
Course has recently been purchased by Green circle estates who now own Kirkby Valley and Allerton Manor.Major refurbishment/extension of existing clubhouse is underway (5-6 months work). Don't know whether they're gonna save those greens though. They were awful, but it's what they've inherited.Major rubbish/waste/debris clean up required. Will go back in a couple of years and see how they've done.Giod luck to them.Course was empty on a Tuesday evening.£550 for a 7 day ticket.Reviewer Rating
