Part of a society match attracted a discount off the £60 a round. Course was very wet and some greens difficult as a result. The course was challenging but a joy to play on. Car park is small, no driving range and no electric carts. Enjoyed the day.

Nice course. Some great elevated tees. Beware OOB on the 18th!

Very enjoyable course with some great holes. The 13th is a hole that would be a credit at any copurse in Country. Good clubhouse and we had a good meal there too. Pro Shop was very friendly and we will definitely go back. Course was in excellent condition. We were told a fairly new head greenkeeper is doing very good work - I would agree with that on the basis of what we saw.

An interesting, quirky links golf course on the Isle of Wight. Set inland but still close enough to the sea to have a changing wind that influences every shot when it blows Shanklin and Sandown is a course well worth trying out. Featuring a real mix of holes the course winds its way in and our of itself presenting you with different chanllenges and constantly playing in different directions which keeps you on your toes wind-wise. The personal highlights for me were the uphill par 3 to a blind green and the dogleg 10th which requires 2 good strikes to get to the green. At £36/round midweek its not the cheapest but value enough to encorage you to try.

This course is a real gem set in the heart of the Isle of Wight. This heathland course drains exceptionally well with superb views and in great condition for the time of year. A must play for any golfer visiting the Island

I found the course to be in excellent shape. The greens were very good, particularly for the winter. Obviously a lot of work has gone in since the last review
