Excellent course as it's my home course, very hard for a beginner but well worth it.

I along with graham montgomery a ritired bank manager, having played golf at scrabo and being members for over 40 years. Decided to put something back into the scrabo club. We embarked on constructing a retaining wall along the sides of the 14th fairway, most of these walls were built from scratch . And rebuilt in places. It took 2years to complete.we both enjoyed this work.lt enhances the beauty of this fairway. Sammy morrow.

Course in great condition despite the wet winter. Fabulous location, the view from the 17th tee makes the walk worthwhile. Some temporary signage made navigation difficult at times. Looking forward to visiting in the summer. When it's less windy.

Set on top of scrabo hill the course itself is only overlooked by the dominance of scrabo tower. The beauty of the surrounding countryside will take your breath away. With views down strangford lough and across to Scotland on one side, and across to Belfast on the other. The course itself is quite challenging with lots of hills and gorse lined fairways with a number of elevated greens. Buggy hire is available and is good value. The friday deal of a round of golf a pint and a sandwich, all for £12 is excellent.

Loved it.

I was in Belfast a few weeks for work from the US and sampled a few of the local courses, I would absolutely recommend this one. The reviews about the difficulty are true, but I didn’t find it too overwhelming. (I normally shoot in the 90-100 range back home and finished up right at 100)

I loved that it was challenging but didn’t feel unfair. And really none of holes felt difficult from length alone. It’s a very interesting course with lots of rolling hills, tight corners, and fun tee boxes.

Then of course the views on this course are phenomenal, especially for someone not from the area. If you are traveling through Belfast I’d put this place at the top of your list. It’s also extremely affordable - which I would say is so because the pro shop is under construction, not because of the quality of the course. The club was good, nothing fancy and exactly what I’m looking for after a long hard round.

Also if you’re traveling and staying in Belfast (like me) it’s a short cab ride away from city center, and they offer rental clubs in good condition.
