i was a bit disapointed with this course couldnt get a breakfast at nine oclock the fairways were a little on the long side and didnt like the walk that you have to make to play holes 4 to 11

Excellent Location. Friendly staff - excellent pro. The course is constantly being improved and the building of the new by-pass has seen a change in layout. The walk across the road to holes four to eleven is worth it for the views alone - stunning across the South Bay to the Castle on the headland. Well thought out and maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

Scarborough South cliff is a very good course. I realise that as I was playing alone that I have no status on the course but it's disappointing that the players in front did not offer to let me play through in spite of having to wait at almost every tee. This has been the case almost every time that I have played here and is in total contrast to the attitude of members at the nearby Scarborough North Cliff Golf club whom I have always found to be very welcoming and accommodating.

Unusual fairway mats
To protect the fairways you have to use fairway mats if your ball is on the fairway or place it in the semi. The fairways looked okay but there was quite a lot of mud. Mats on all tees as well, although all greens were in play. Reasonably interesting layout.Reviewer Rating

Challenging but enjoyable
This is a challenging course that requires accurate tee shots and good iron play. Several holes offer stunning seaward views and are affected by the strength and direction of the wind. The fairways and greens were very well maintained.Reviewer Rating

cliff top
Nice day on the Yorkshire coast. Live the cliff top stretch but always find 15-17 really tough. should have done better.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 101 Handicap: 22.4)

Lovely course

Love it
Always enjoy playing on a cliff top with a view of the sea. Wind can be a bit of an issue but its a course that keeps you thinking.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 117 Handicap: 30)

If you're a fan of cliff top golf holes 4-10 will float your boat. If the wind is up club selection is to say the least a challenge.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 21.4)

Lovely course, worth a visit
Always part of our annual trip to the East Coast due to its interesting lay out and welcoming status. Neat and tidy little pro shop and clubhouse and we always enjoy visiting. We will be back in August 2019 !Reviewer Rating
