Sandiway is for me the best course in Cheshire, The presentation of the course is always immaculate, the greens are the truest of any you will play. I really love the way the course meanders through the dense ancient woodlands with the most perfect elevation changes the whole way - not too much, but enough to really add to the challenge (and treat the visuals). Some of the holes are v difficult - especially off the whites. Dont be fooled by the length of the course on the scorecard - first its a a par 70 (not 72) at over 6400, but second most of the par 4's are really long when you factor in elevation changes. So feels equivalent to at least 6600. Overall its a top top course.

Stunning course. I've been invited to this course a number of times and unfortunately never made it. Played in between showers- some quite heavy.
Course picturesque. Greens the truest I've played on in a while.Beautiful course and great golf with my 3 playing partners. Already planning our next visit- a must play course in Cheshire.

First time I've played the course. I played with a society. The course was fantastic. In the top 3 Cheshire courses I've played. It is not short and a few blind holes but it is beautiful and in great condition, would definitely recommend. The pro was really friendly and the club house spot on. Patio area over looking the 18th green was a perfect finish!

Stood on the first tee and looking out thought this is a great course. And it did not disappoint. Everything about the course is in fantastic condition: fairways, bunker and greens. One of the best courses in the north west that I have played. Up there with Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham and St. Annes. Will definitely play this course again.

Sandiway is a superb inland course, a mixture of heath and parkland, and eing largely based on sand, is in terrific condition all year round. Recent work on the course has thinned the trees so with extra light and wind, the greens are magnificent. Despite the 5th hole being SI 1, the tougher holes are on the back 9 - the 5th is only the 5th or 6th hardest hole which is a bit odd. An excellent test of golf and well worth a visit or two...or three.

Class. Best Parkland Course In NW

Bit of rain at home so took my soft spikes rather than summer shoes. Needn't have bothered. Course was dry and playing really well. Greens were exceptional but my putting was shocking, I think I was scared of the pace this early in the year. Had to take my medicine a few times following an errant tee shot or two but that is the mark of a good course. No mistakes go unpunished but not unfairly it should be said. Great course and for me best parkland course in the North West. Great mix of par 3's, and 4's and the shorter par 5 looks gettable in two on paper but it is uphill and tight so it plays above it's yardage. Challenging but fair with good shots rewarded and bad shots penalised. £25 as a members guest also represents great value. Food was really nice too.

Lovely Course

Never disappoints. Lovely fairways and a real challenge. Couple of boring par 3s that I ironically struggle the most on as they are between Gap / PW but otherwise excellent.

Great course and friendly, welcoming members, staff and professional. One of the few courses not playing provisional greens, tee's or mats throughout the winter. I will definitely be back.
