As a beginner, it was very good. Plenty of opportunity to practice all aspects of my game but not too forgiving of poor shots.

very short but if you don't have a lot of time it can be enjoyable although off platforms in winter makes it very very short but not necessarily easy.

A nice little (mostly par 3) 9 hole course. The fairways and greens are looked after really well. A lot of the tee areas are well maintained but there is the odd hole where it seems to be harder to maintain but these are by no means in a very poor state.
There is a driving range and putting green if you want to practice before your round and these practice areas are very good in my opinion, with the driving range having an outdoors grass area in addition to the covered bay area. The practice green is well maintained and provides a reasonable amount of different challenges.
My only qualms with this course is that there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of non-replaced divots, which I know is not the fault of the course staff, but rather with those players who are too lazy to walk a couple of yards to retrieve and replace them. I have often found my ball in divots on the fairway with the disembodied piece of turf only lying a few feet from the aforementioned divot.
This is a nice course which helps you practice your iron play. Leave the driver at home and come armed with a 3 wood for the brace of par 4 holes.
