Nicely laid-out course with a good variation of holes. The fairways had a good covering of grass and the greens ran true

Hidden Gem

Always thought Sand Moor gets overlooked due to the more 'known' courses locals (Moortown/Alwoodley) but it's a very good course and often half the price. We played just after a long down-poor and the course held up very well. Great varied mix of holes.

Impressive

We went as a group of 9 Saturday 28th. Expecting it to be wet, but was surprised to find it soft but not soggy. Food in the clubhouse was excellent value for money (especially the sausage & mash)
Whilst we were waiting on the first tee the club captain came over and introduced himself to was and thanked us for choosing his course (a very nice touch) as we didn't T off until 2:15 we weren't really troubled by slow play either in front of us or behind us so kept our pace going throughout the whole 18 holes. The course itself was in very good condition it looked like The greenkeepers had removed a lot of the rough and shrubbery which seemed to open up the course a great deal. There are some very good holes on the course, in total it was a very good choice from our organiser.

Immaculately maintained course. Great layout with some challenging holes. A bit expensive for visitors.

A good course but I'd dare to say the other famous North Leeds courses are better.

Excellent course although currently in relatively poor condition with a number of temporary greens while new hazards/bunkers are created and greens are repaired.

Course itself in great condition, very disappointed to be charged full visitor price when all greens had been hollow tined and sanded to the point that Steven Spielberg was rumoured to have been viewing the greens to use in a follow up scene on the beach in Saving Private Ryan!!

We had the whole course more or less to ourselves the whole day. Really well kept and great views. A good challenge although not overly long. The par 3s are all beautiful.
A little expensive and I would slightly hesitate to play again especially with the class of the neighbouring courses in or around same price.
Certainly worth a visit and recommended.
