Always great to play
2nd time playing Saddleworth. Friendly welcome in clubhouse & pro shop. Superb breakfast. Course in great condition, greens true. Quite hilly in parts but worth it for stunning views. Some tricky blind holes with sloping fairways to negotiate. Well worth playing for sure(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.5)

Played in the seniors open 11th. Sept. My first visit. Having played over 330 courses I rate this course one of the very best in course layout,condition and playability.The views from some of tees are magnificent, adding to the overall enjoyment! This is a must play course for any golfer.

Fantastic Course

Fantastic course. Excellent fairways. only complaint was too much sand on greens which affected speed of ball in places.

Played this course for the first time as part of a society group. Friendly welcome in clubhouse, group was greeted by the Manager which was a nice touch. Course was in superb condition even though greens had been recently top dressed. Course layout is on a hillside with stunning views so some hill climbs were to be had especially towards the top of the course. Signature hole the 15th par 3 from elevated green over a pond, nice. Good food provided too boot, overall great day out would certainly like to return some day.

Moorland course
Considering the amount of rain we've had recently, the course was in excellent condition, fairways generally dry. Grass on greens a bit long but totally understandable - greenkeepers were on course mowing as we played.Reviewer Rating

Very friendly with amazing views
Looked after really well by the staff. Course was a bit beat up and had to play off mats through the green, which wasn't great. However weather has been terrible so just pleased to get out.Has really stunning views and would love to return when the weather improves, as we had a great day out.
Would recommend to visitors and shout out to the Pro who was very helpful and welcoming.

A lovely sunny day, not too much wind, which is unusual for this course. Fairways and greens in really good nick, greens quite fast. Rough too short on the third hole to the right of the fairway, but this is quite common.
