Played here 3 year’s ago and each year I kept getting drawn back to play it, I just love the place the course is fantasticStaff are brilliant the signature 17 I never get bored of it
Although I am a big fan of 10th tbh,
After years of playing last year I decided to join and it’s been fantastic choice, met some superb player partners that’s now become friends,

Played with a society
Good course, not too difficult with the exception of two or three holes. Would suit mid handicapper well. Club house very friendly. Overall I would throughly recommend a visit to the course.Reviewer Rating

Always enjoyable to play here, still rather damp in places, no buggies allowed. Greens were good but unpredictable at times. Very pleasant sat on terrace afterwards, watching the world go by !

The course is tough but rewarding, and the layout is superb. The stunning views are an added bonus, and the course is well kept and scenic. The difficulty is just right, and the signature 17th hole is something special. The staff at the course were also incredibly friendly, making our round that much better.

A good course that challenges you. Fairways scabby on most holes. Greens good fun. Management of tea off times could be better

Whilst about to play my second to the green the green keepers just drove straight on to the green and removed the flag, the two off them then just laughed at my annoyance and spent a good 5 minutes cutting the grass.
Their were 3 two balls including us stuck behind a ridiculously slow 4 ball who were quite happy to see us all queuing
I raised the issue at the club house and they were not interested

Greens good, weather damages fairways unfortunately
Every course is suffering with the same lack of rain issues and Rufford hasn't escaped them. Bare and scorched fairways made for difficult bounces and awkward lies, but this course is a minter when we have normal rainfall so we know it's just the current circumstances. Food beforehand was nice, nice new outdoor area was good for drinks before and afterwards. The range is great with a few quirky targets to aim at which is fun. The greens on the course were good, rather than great but it made sure we could have an enjoyable round. Of course we will be back in normal weather and enjoy it again, but that might be in a month or two if we get some rain.Reviewer Rating
