The course was really interesting - a great mixture of holes. Although a short course, this is still a interesting and good test with good use of the land. Of note, the SI 1 14th with a blind tee shot and the picturesque par 3 16th. A course map would have been good on the back of the scorecard... or do you want us to fork out for the full course guide?
On the negative side, the were A LOT of dog walkers out there. Many were happy to share the ground with golfers others see it as their right to saunter around without regard to anyone else.
19th had great facilities and was very welcoming although pricey. £4 a pint of standard lager; about £4.50 for a bacon bap (good bacon bap though!).
Overall an enjoyable round and will definitely come again.

Great value for money with winter rates.
Course probably plays much more easily in winter without the heather out!

He also complained of dogs running all over the course. Members and walkers take their dogs onto the course but all must be kept under control and, in all but the most exceptional circumstances, are. The course is currently in fist class condition and we have received many favourable comments so far this season. I can only suggest that your readers come and see us to make their mind up. This last review does not give a fair and objective opinion.

This is a great test of golf and, if you need some rehab after lunch then the shorter West Course is a belter in its own right. The 18th hole par four on the West is possibly the best hole on either course. Despite the wet conditions this is a great place to play and a great place to visit.
