Varied challenging course with excellent practice facilities. Wonderful clubhouse with good food and helpful staff. Club is improving some holes at present. Well worth a visit.

Really enjoyed RC course, forgiving at times and challenging enough on other holes. Course in fantastic condition with greens running very true.

Lovely Course

Enjoy playing at this course
This is a very pleasant well maintained course, greens very good although a bit slow when I played. An interesting of holes that tests your positional skills. Staff and facilkities very good.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 17.9)

Delightful but tight course
Played our pensioners four ball game, quiet and varied course but you need to keep it straight and the right distance for a lot of the doglegs. Great clubhouse and friendly staff.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 102 Handicap: 16.8)

Home course, in excellent condition. The ground staff have cleared away lots of undergrowth which keeps the game moving.

Played 23rd July. When I say played I dragged round 14 clubs all designed for a specific purpose which on this particular day I failed to master any of them!
One of the golf days and courses I always look forward to. Nice clubhouse, very good breakfast, course was a bit 'parched' in parts but it is summer. The greens were in tremendous condition, lightening fast but consistent all the way round.
Rowlands is what I would term a 'proper' golf club and all the better for that

Played here today for my work society day, it's the first time I played here, the course was excellent, very challenging holes, and some holes you could really attack, the greens were in excellent condition, the ball ran very well, I would defiantly play here again, very happy with the day and I came joint 1st but lost on count back.

The conditions were like nothing I have ever played before. The ground was frozen.not sure if it helped me or not, either way I had a "good round " for my level of expertise. ( 28 h/c)

This is a particularly nice course. It is well laid out and there are sufficient trees and bunkers to make it challenging,but not horribly difficult. I like the ambience of this club. The food and refreshments are excellent and the lounge area is spacious and welcoming with an attentative staff.

Excellent course.Super fast greens, not a pitch mark in sight.
Fairways lovely.
Bunkers had proper dry sand.
Few holes very tough tee shots that make the holes harder than what they are.
If your being picky, which I try not to do, a few holes seem a bit samey. Back 9 seemed a lot tougher than the fron (or so my scorecard told me)
Lovely finishing hole too.

RCGC is north of Portsmouth/Havant and just 5 minutes off J2 of the A3. I have played the course a number of times on Society days but this visit was to play in one of their Open Comps which always span 3 days in August. A traditional parkland course which is reasonably straightforward but played tough (for me) off the "tips". Everything was in "apple pie" order - first class organisation, spotters out on the course (a first for me) and very friendly staff/members. I paid £18 to enter (excellent value) and will be returning same time next year - highly recommended if you can make it as well.

A delight to play
