Played here 9:20am Sunday 10th April 2016, paid summer fees, course very wet every where after rain and some snow overnight, should have had a reduced rate when course in this condition, saying that greens rolled true and a decent speed, just fairways very wet and bunkers not raked that morning, but it was a Sunday, 18th tee bed was a very uneven, like a mound(probably a winter tee bed), should be good course when dry, unfortunately the day was spoilt by playing behind 5 members all playing together, except on the 18th when they split up to a three ball & two ball, (I wonder why this was) all we were told was you would have to wait because there is a four ball in front of us!!!!!!!!!!! , wet conditions and the failure to give a reduced rate give it a bad score on the day for us, but I would gladly pay full amount in summer conditions, as for the members playing in a five ball , left a very bad taste and opinion of the club,

Great Course / Ridiculously Slow Pace
Lovely course, but pace of of play so slow we had to walk off as at the 13th there were three groups waiting! Apparently it was members who were to cause.Reviewer Rating

Greens not that bad
A nice golf course. Well laid out with some fantastic scenery.In great condition for November, including the greens, which really aren't that bad.
There's a good mix of long & short holes, with some interesting dips, hollows & a brook to navigate.
All in all a good round.

Played in delightful weather. Greens were in good conditiom, fairly quick and ran true with minimal bobble. Course was ok condition a little patchy and lots of GUR. For this time of year i would expect a better condition course. But the members and pro were extremely friendly and its a decent test if golf. Favourite holes 1, 7, 12, 13 and 18.

I played here on a corporate day arranged by a local company. We played 9 hole Texas scramble in the morning, had lunch, then back to the course for 18 holes. The course was in good condition and the greens were quick and true. There are a few great holes on this course which are very deceiving. Some good par 3's and some longf par 4's. All in all a great day had at Rossendale and i look forward to playing there again soon

Good course but not at it's best
Having played Rossendale a couple of times before was looking forward to playing it again, this time in one of their well run open events. Usual friendly welcome at the club. Couple of practice nets and putting green to loosen them limbs. Unfortunately course was quite wet following overnight rain which for mid summer is not great really. Generally course looked in good condition with some nice holes to play. Worth playing if not played before.Reviewer Rating

Played with my son and really enjoyed the course, beautiful scenery and well laid out course with plenty of space. Found the area/nets for practice to be sub standard and a bit grotty to be honest. The practice Putting green was okay and we will be back for sure armed with a better knowledge of the layout and some better scoring.

First time but not last
I grew up a stones throw from this course but for wahtever reason i never played it. Very nice course with a few water hazards thrown in for good measure. Despite it being in a valley there didn't seem to be a huge number of hills compared to others i have played and most of the fairways were quite broad allowing for mediocre golfers to get around with little trouble.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 118 Handicap: 28)

Nice lay out

Hidden Gem of a Course ! Warm welcome on arrival and impressive club house. Greens were very green, true and pacey. A couple of holes it is easy to get lost finding the next tee so a recommend checking the map on the back of the scorecard. Overall fantastic course and will be returning in the future.
