This Course looks easy but it throws up some tricky little shots that you need to play well worth playing

A good test of golf, especially when the wind is blowing. There is evidence of flood damage from last year's storms, but the course is in excellent condition. It is particularly tricky when the wind is blowing towards Prestatyn, making the final 2 holes seem like monsters. Don't expect a level lie on the fairway, as this is true links golf - keep it low when the wind is blowing!

Love this course. True links course, plays like a demon in the wind. Had to leave the driver in the bag for obvious reasons. It looks simple, but there are very few flat lies on many of the fairways, and the rough suitably punitive. Good value, and a real test of ball playing skills (do I fly the ball or run it??).

Tried 4 other courses in the locality and still keep coming back to Rhyl GC, why? The course holds up well when other courses close through excessive rain, the greens are excellent, no need to book and you can usually get on , often with a member if you're on your own. Friendly club , excellent clubhouse and great value for money catering. Pro excellent teacher , very patient.

rhyl golf course is ideal if you just want a nice relaxing game. theres a good chance of just going on a sat or sun without booking and still get a round in as long as there are no comps on. perfect for me when i go to my caravan at weekends.the course itself is flat no trees but gets a good breeze from the sea as its on the seafront it only has 9 greens but has 18 tees.
