Quirky, Fun, Excellent
Really enjoyed P&K. Such a warm wlecome and one of the better layouts I have played. Quirky in places and some really cracking holes that you will have to navigate around. Some of the views are quite spectacular too.Reviewer Rating

Great course
A great course with excellent greens that take some reading to get right. Some course restrictions in being but no adverse effects on the round. The front nine is slightly easier than the back nine. Stunning views across the course. Well worth a visit to enjoy the challenge ahead.Reviewer Rating

Great course
My first time playing here received a warm welcome from the Pro and advice on how to play the course. The tees are immaculate, fairways lacked grass over most of the course, which was a shame as was not in keeping with the rest of the course, the greens were excellent and gave a true fast roll. Lovely run of holes 11-17 through the dunes. Accuracy is key to good score. I feel that a coloured flags system for hole position would be beneficial as the greens are huge a couple of times the first putt was 50ft.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 12.6)

Brilliant
What a great course!Front nine, reasonably gentle parkland. Back nine, breath-taking links.
The wind will play a part all the way round, even if it's only a gentle breeze.
Stunning run of holes between 11 and 14. 11 is a superb par 5 which twists off to the left and up the hill. 12 is a 180 par 3 where your driver is probably the best bet if the wind is in your face. 13 is the blindest of blind holes. Send a spotter up front. 14 is at the very top of the course, the views are stunning as is the dog leg.

The weather before we were due to go out was terrible, but Dylan recommended that we do the back 9 first in the event we were unable to complete our round. The back 9 was fantastic, a true test of golf, some really amazing holes. P&K are doing some great work around the course, returning the rubble paths to grass as they used to be. The fairways and bunkers were brilliant for the time of year; the greens had been treated so were not in the best condition but I would imagine that they would be fantastic in time. Unfortunately we were unable to complete 18, so feel that we really missed this treat, so hopefully will go back again, well worth the 2 hour drive.
Thanks to Dylan and the team, we had a very enjoyable time despite the weather and would definitely recommend to others.

Pyle and Kenfig is rich in tournament and Championship history and they will be a qualifying course for the Senior Open championship with final rounds at neighbouring Royal Porthcawl in 2014. I have played at a host of Ryder Cup and Open courses in the UK, Europe and America and I am happy to tell you that P&K is right up there with them and deserves all the plaudits. It is also significantly good value for a championship venue. They also serve the best chips (fries)
