Still playing winter greens and from fairway mats. Good pro shop, excellent clubhouse facilities with full menu/TV sports channels etc. Friendly staff.

Great course in the centre of Edinburgh with spectacular views of Arthurs Seat. Course condition is excellent, in particular the greens. Very handy if you are staying in town and fancy a quick round - course is quite flat but a good challenge. Clubhouse and facilities are modern and the food was excellent.

Anyone playing Prestonfield for the first time will just be blown away by the spectacular views on Arthur Seat. The club has invested heavily improving drainage over the years to the extent that it is very rarely troubled by flooding any more. It is a very challenging layout and if you get the chance to play off the medal tees you need to be on top of your game.

If you are in Edinburgh this course is so close to the city centre it's well worth a visit. The views around the course and from the club balcony are stunning. The course is extremely pleasant to play, with a number of goof holes, especially the 3rd which is a very challenging dog-leg. The par 3s are deceptively difficult and all well bunkered.

Very respectable golf club - lovely setting / location and club house. half of the course is top notch while half is perhaps a little bland being flat parkland and can get boggy after heavy rain. Otherwise a course well suited to a wide range of golfers and that most will very much enjoy.

the course is very boring and to flat and well over rated. When it rains the course is absolutely shocking for holding water and floods easily,it is over priced and just paying for the location. many better course in edinburgh to play.

A good course with a variety of challenges. The rather flat middle section is bland, yet helps the higher handicap player improve his game. Some terrific old trees add great character closer to the old club house. Location in central Edinburgh and welcoming attitude to visitors is excellent. Only concern would be that the course can suffer from water logging.

very scenic course with the dramatic backdrop of Arthur's Seat, the course had suffered from the poor weather and as a result had some standing water on the fairways, however that aside this is a really good course, the greens a really well bunkered and if you are shooting well you can score well and be very satisfied with your game, if you are not playing well you can be penalized but you can recover. we will be back to play this course again.

The greens were really good, the course was in superb condition for a parkland course and the clubhouse was exceptional. Not a lot else more to say about it to be honest.

Interesting and scenic course that is largely flat and forgiving for mid-high handicappers. Misses the challenges of water hazards and perhaps more extreme and unique feature holes, but enjoyable course. Can suffer during wet conditions as ground can get heavy.

A really nice course. Became congested at 2nd tee (two groups waiting) but after that a steady pleasant round with wonderful views of Arthurs Seat.

Played this course in a group of 16 on a tournament. Excellent course in superb condition. Lots of nice par 3s, and some real good long par 4s and 5s. Gale force winds made it interesting!! Great views, great club house, and very helpful pro shop.
