Superbly maintained course, which you'd expect given the nature of its surroundings & stature. Its definately a course management track, makes you think & pick your shots wisely. Greens are in immaculate order and run very true.

Very nice course though probably played it in its worse state as we had had unbelievable amounts of rainfall. Last 4 holes were monsoon conditions and so much so last hole became unplayable! On a nice day in good conditions it would be one of the nicest in the area. Greens were perfect and fairways very good. Very Hilly and would be kinder in a buggy!

Really nice course. We played on a Thursday in a small society of 12. We virtually had the course to ourselves in the morning. Course was in great condition - greens in fabulous condition. Some of the holes were slighlty squashed in but very cleverly done. Loved the par 3 4th, the par 5 11th, the 17th and 18th. Our high & low handicappers struggled but the mid-handicappers who hit straight scored well as its not the longest (apart from the 9th). The houses around the course are very interesting - mixture of old money & footballer money - particularly the eyesore alongside the 9th!

Lovely, well-established parkland course, always in good condition and in very interesting terrain so plenty of potential 'signature hole' candidates. Some very challenging holes (just try making par on the 9th !) and some easy ones (10th - just a chip). locals advise "whatever club is right on the 4th, use it again on the 7th" - Doesn't look right, but it is!. Arguably the best course in Cheshire, and I certainly think its a far nicer play than some of the big corporate places with bigger names and higher fees.
