Course improving slowly
The new green keeper is improving the greens with the current works. Lack of staff has seen very little mowing apart from fairways. The rough is approaching knee high in places which even the pros will have difficulty getting out of! Not best use of limited resources. We are forever hopeful.Reviewer Rating

The course is extremely popular at the moment. I suppose following two groups of fourballs I shouldn't have been surprised the round took over 4 hours. I was a little disappointed by the conditions of the greens which were a bit patchy in places having expected better given the closure during the lockdown.

Lovely
This is a lovely course. Two very tight holes to start then you walk through some woods into what could be a large country house's grounds. Not over long, but some very challenging holes. Accuracy of off the tee pays huge premiums. Decent club house with the bonus of a balcony overlooking the 18th green. Just got I new head greenkeeper so definitely one to keep an eye out for.Reviewer Rating

very good course

very friendly club. The course is in excellent condition even though they are making improvements to the bunkering. Too many leaves in the trees though.

the staff were very friendly and the facilities were good, the fairways were in good condition and the green were running well, a few too many pitch marks left, some bunkers are very low on sand so could do with re-filling, overall a good game again

A very good course to play, fairways were good and greens were in good order. Bunkers could do with more sand in them. Friendly staff who are always helpful and try and accommodate your preference for a t time.

What a great course. A couple of tight holes that require you to be very straight off the tee but after the 2nd hole the course opens out and was enjoyable. The rough was well maintained as were the fairways and the greens were even and well looked after. Very busy when we played on a Friday afternoon in June but that was to be expected with the good weather. Will certainly be returning to play again.

Good condition considering the amount of rain we have had lately. Greens playing well. No complaints. Still a bit of a maze at times though going from one tee to the other

Condition
Considering we have just had the longest winter of rain, and all courses across the country have struggled due to the consistent rain conditions, We found the 18 holes course at Poult Wood to be in immaculate condition, - Thank you Poult wood we had a great day, on the course and in the club house afterwards...Reviewer Rating
