Fun course, fantastic views

Interesting and challenging course with some great views of the solent and across to the IOW. Drains really well when there has been significant rainfall which makes it a true year round course.

Nice course, good to play

A very welcoming club. There are some very interesting holes to play on this course. The weather can be an additional hazard when you are on top oif the hill and your distance and direction need to be spot on.

Pleasantly Surprised

Wickham only had 5 playable holes and Cams booked until 12.30. Hadn't played at Portsmouth Golf Course for some years so decided to give it a try. 14 holes for ?15 and straight on. Well maintained and no complaints at all. Had forgotten about the gradients and paid the price for all the Christmas indulgences. Overall, a nice setting with some great views. I will certainly be returning this year.

Great Views

An interesting course played on both sides of a road. Wind definitely a factor, which means that course plays longer than you think.

Portsmouth Golf Centre provides both excellent value and a major challenge to high-handicap players (particularly the 6th!).

Sufficient challenges with holes to encourage

This is an interesting course with some distinct challenges. The 6th {especially), 8th and 13th present risk and reward dog-legs, and big-hitters will relish 9th, 10th and 12th. A course with much camber will make you think hard about which line to take.

The club didn't have a record of our TeeOffTimes booking but were very accommodating & allowed us to start on the 10th at our booked time. Course was in lovely condition but the rough is to be avoided unless you have a good supply of balls. Not a long course but one where position off the tee is more important than distance.
