Interesting course, some wear and tear especially on the tees and club house is pretty tired, but generally a good golf day out

The 2 Days & 2 rounds of Golf we played were most enjoyable, our group first played the the Championship course our Tee 2 off time were spot on, the level of play also quite comfortable as was the course,. the course layout was very scenic and tendered.
on completion of first day play we checked in to the hotel at ease and settled in to tradition 19th hole round of drinks.
A short break for us for powerful shower experience & change from Golf gear, we regrouped at the bar which was followed up by an evening meal. The option on the menu were some limited and the service was slower then we desired, amongst our group we had a gentlemen who is diabetic and required a quicker service, this was rapidly corrected and was followed up Free round of Drinks from the management, the rest evening service was excellent.
Next morning we awoke to excellent breakfast followed by a round of golf on the Premier golf course.
We planning to revisit in September with the extended group, we would recommend the facility to all enjoy.

Course was in lovely condition and made better by great weather. Plenty of hole variation and suitable for all golfers.

Nice course worth playing
First time playing at Portals, played the Premier course as part of an open competition. This course is detached from the main resort. Clubhouse certainly in need of some updating, shame as it could look an impressive building. Small pro shop. Practice net and putting green. Small bar area. Course generally in good condition, greens ran okay if a little inconsistant in pace, found some tricky to read. Some nice holes especially on back 9 like the par 3 15th from elevated tee and long par 5 16th. Course a little up and down with some lengthy walks between holes. Returning later in the year so looking forward to playing it again if only to try and improve the score.Reviewer Rating

Really nice course.
Really nice course. Not quite as diverse a layout as the premier, but better condition. Some really nice holes. Course is long and undulating. Greens are good, A few of our group were whining about tee boxes level but I thought they were fine. A tough challenge. 2nd cut is very long so can lose balls in there that you think you'll find!Reviewer Rating

Lads golf trip day 1
Ok place, bit tired, poor food and drink offerings. Needs some investment from the oweners, everhwere looks like it need renewing, cleaning etc.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 102 Handicap: 22.3)

Great course
Good to play back here, great course and layout. Very elevated so might be advised to have a buggy even if its just to speed things up as the course plays long. Looking forward to playing here again in 22.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 97 Handicap: 18.8)

Memories
A lovely but challenging course I wamember member and past Captain over a 20 year period. I now live in Spain playing off +2.1 on a senior tour built on my experience gained at Portal Premier. Worth a visit to play, Covid permitting!Reviewer Rating

Course in Great Condition
Highly enjoyable round of golf. All aspects of course well maintained including Fairways, Bunkers, Rough and Greens. Relatively quiet playing mid week so no pressure of play from behind or hold ups in front. Would definitely return.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 100 Handicap: 22.4)
