5 Horrible experience. Too many holes and fairways cross each other and some shared fairways. Extremely dangerous course to play, don't waste your time or money.

5 A few holes needed a bit of TLC- Fairways overgrown. Very challenging course with groups crossing paths quite often. Very hilly. Enjoyed it all in all.

5 Played in Oct 09, when the greens were poor (they're usually better). A few holes cross or come very close to each other, so you need to be very aware of other golfers and where both you and they are hitting to. Some short par 4's give you a real chance to score birdies (I got 4 in 27 holes). Very tricky 180 yard par 3, 9th hole where everything slopes away from you (including the green) and out of bounds right!

5 The older holes are interesting, if perhaps a bit short (at least 3 driveable par 4s). The new holes are a bit open and uninteresting.

5 On a society day, and for me the first time playing here since December 2009. Started with a full English breakfast which many of our party of 21 agreed was the best they have had on a society day. Well looked after by the cheery staff member, and then by the bar staff after our round. The changing rooms were under renovation, but despite this, facilities were good (they have a portacabin to change in if needed. Course still has 2 holes going in opposite directions which share a fairway, and another which goes across that fairway. It was quiet enough when we played for this not to be a problem, although I wonder if it would be if the course was busier. As with a lot of clubs this year, fairways have suffered a bit with the ultra dry weather, so preferred lies was in place on fairways, allowing you to drop on the nearest bit of grass. Don't worry, I only used it once because it is not as bad as it sounds. Greens were running fast and true, although they were a little firm for my liking - couldn't stop the ball even when I struck it really clean - could have done with watering. Odd to see the first green surrounded by electric wires to stop badger damage. Bunkers seemed to be in good order, and plenty of room on the tees which were also good. Despite the crossover fairways I would like to play again, although hopefully when I'm hitting the ball a lot straighter!!
